You have been counting down the days to hunting season for weeks. Now that it's finally here, you realize that your dog's Garmin collar or accessories don't operate quite as they should. While it's not necessary to cancel your trip, you do need to act fast to get the repairs you need so as not to lose any hunting time.

Before Getting Your Dog Collar Repaired

The first thing we would recommend in this situation is to ensure that you have the latest version of the software for your product. This simple fix has resolved many issues for other customers and ensures that you don't miss one minute in the woods because of technical problems. In fact, we recommend updating your software every few months even if the manufacturer hasn't released an update. Taking a proactive approach now can help you avoid frustration later.

Fast Repairs to Keep You in the Woods

If you're confident you have the latest version of the software and your dog's hunting collar or other accessories still doesn't work right, rest assured that Double U will process the repair quickly. While it might take you two weeks or longer to get the product back from the manufacturer, we can usually complete the job within two or three days. If the product is back ordered with Garmin, SportDog or another manufacturer, it can take four to five weeks for you to receive a model that works correctly.

We recommend that you contact our tech support department at 1-855-384-8687 to troubleshoot the problem first. If we’re unable to find a solution by phone, we will recommend that you contact the manufacturer directly. It’s only when neither solution works that we advise customers to send their dog collar or accessory to Double U for repair or replacement.

Complete an Online Repair Request Form

If you prefer to describe the problem first and have a member of our tech support team contact you, please complete our online repair request form. Be sure to include all requested information, including the following:

  • Your name
  • Telephone number
  • Unit serial number
  • If you bought the unit from Double U or another retailer
  • The approximate date of your order as well as a reference number or order number if you have them

Someone will contact you within one business day to obtain more information and attempt to troubleshoot the problem by phone. We hope this will help you resolve the issue, but if not, you will need to prepare your e-collar or other hunting dog accessory for shipment.

Shipping Your Item to Double U for Repair

We will provide you with our shipping address in Washington when you contact us for troubleshooting. Before addressing your package, please prepare the item carefully by adding plenty of padding to keep it safe during transit. We also highly recommend obtaining a tracking number from the carrier, whether you go with the United States Postal Services (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), or Federal Express (FedEx). This ensures that your item is in transit and lets you know exactly when it arrives to us.

We handle all fees if your product is still covered under warranty. If the warranty has expired, we charge one, low flat-rate fee for repair. We are also happy to offer a discount on repair if you purchased the training collar or other hunting dog accessory directly from Double U.

Our company stocks most replacements and we rarely have to back order a replacement or new part for our customers. If that does happen, we'll still have it back to you faster than if you had shipped your repair directly to Garmin.

Because we know that you’re anxious to receive your repaired product or a replacement and get out into the woods, we’re happy to offer overnight shipping as an option at an additional cost. Please contact us if you have additional questions.
