Purpose:

To promote and develop all trail hounds. To promote true sportsmanship toward each other who are followers of trail hounds and everyone who enjoys the great outdoors. To support and promote conservation and management of all species of wildlife. To support and cooperate with the enforcement of our state game laws, as well as our national forest regulations. To support or oppose the DNR on any law or regulation that is for or against the objectives of this organization. To monitor both bodies of the legislature for any bills that would be adverse to our objectives and philosophies. To promote understanding and good will between all hunters of hounds and farmers and property owners. To promote and create an image of recognition from the general public in the sport of trail hounds to pursue predators and game animals. To have a committee to investigate the killing of any member’s hound and establish the facts of how the dog was killed. If the investigation proves that the dog had been killed outside the law, then if finances are available, the organization will attempt to aid the member in attaining reimbursement for the dog. 

All memberships are subject to approval by Minnesota Trail Hound Association.
