There’s not a lot I can tell you about myself and my family without it involving our hounds. Our life has slowly evolved and shaped itself around them, directly involving them in everything that we do. My husband can be found in the woods just about every day of the year and the kids and I tag along as often as we can. When I’m not hunting with the hounds, I’m likely back at our cabin painting them, gardening, writing or creating something in various forms. All of my passions intertwine and weave together, forming a life and teaching values I had always hoped to pass on to our children. I hope to bring what I know and love to the Double U Nation, from creating artwork depicting the hound life that we all love, to raising the next generation of houndsmen ( and women ) and so much more!

After years of living the military life, we both released, finding our place in the woods. We currently reside at our little cabin in Northern Ontario with our two young kids, ages 6 and 7, our hounds and bald eagle. I wouldn’t say we live a typical life by any means. We treat life as an adventure, living minimally, revolving around training hounds and hunting. Big game hunting is our focus, hunting black bear, moose, deer, coyotes and more. We are fortunate to be able to live the the life that we do and we try to make the most of it.
