My name is Clay Sheen and I’m 44 years old. I grew up in Northern British Columbia on a trap line with my family. I was inspired by my father and his love of the outdoors at an early age. As an adult I thought I was pretty good at hunting, right until I got hounds, after all, I had harvested four species of mountain sheep and yearly had filled the freezer with deer and elk. Was I ever wrong! Hounds showed me that hunting with dogs is far more challenging than I ever could have imagined, but also far more rewarding than I had anticipated. I was instantly in love and addicted. I started with one hound saying to my dear wife “I’ll only need one.” I now have 4 hounds with plans on expanding further. Hound hunting has been the greatest achievement of my hunting career and I have learned more than I ever could have hoped. I spend my 3 free days a week ( when not working at the Fire Department ) hunting my pack after cougars, lynx, occasional bobcat and bears. Hounds are my life.
