To turn on Rescue Mode on your Garmin Astro 430 follow these steps:
  1. Go to main menu
  2. Select Dog List
  3. Select which Dog/Collar you would like to turn on or off Rescue Mode
  4. Select Show Info
  5. This will bring to you to the collar info screen, at this point press the menu button.
  6. Scroll down and select Rescue Mode, at this point you will be able to turn Rescue Mode on or off.
When the collar battery life reaches below 25%, the collar update rate is automatically changed to once every 2 minutes.
