I was born and raised in Southern Utah and intend to live here for the rest of my life. I grew up on a farm/ranching operation and as far back as I can remember I have had chores and responsibilities on the farm.
I got my first hounds when I was 13 years old. They were free, and absolutely worthless but I did learn a few things from them. I had an incredible mentor that has taught me everything I know about good hounds and hunting. I started going with him when I got those first hounds and I can’t tell you how much it means to me that he did that. Having a 13 year old asking you questions all day had to be annoying but I couldn’t be more grateful. I have personally hunted bears or lions in California (before it was illegal), Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and Georgia. I hope to add to that list in the future.
I have a deep love for blue ticks, but I currently also own a red tick, redbone, and a plott as well as several blue dogs. My favorite method of hunting is on the back of my mule or horse but I also hunt a fair amount out of my pick up.
