Hello! I'm Monique Duran, a small town country girl born and raised in the beautiful northern mountains of Mora, New Mexico! Now when it comes to my family and I, most things will revolve around our dogs, horses and the mountains. We love to explore and get our boys involved as much as possible!
When I'm not working to help do my part as a conservationist, where I work with the endangered Gila Trout species at the Mora National Fish Hatchery, you can find me and my family riding horses up a beautiful mountain trail, chasing hounds after something amazing or simply putting up our feet at the lake to catch some dinner. Regardless of what we are doing we try to do it together and be outdoors as much as we possibly can.
We have two sons, Xavier who is 8 years old and 4 month old Ryker who graced us with his presence in June. We try to incorporate the boys into our daily activities as much as possible. Along with them understanding why we do the things we do we also get to enjoy watching them learn and grow to love it in the same manner we do. Together with my boyfriend we strive to teach our boys what we love and hope they can enjoy it as much as we do! We are far from perfect but hope within sharing our ups and downs with our animals and boys that more people will strive to get out and try something new, possibly even sharing some ideas and tips with us in the process!
